Did you know students can work elections?

In the state of Texas, students can work elections at the age of 16. That’s even before a student is eligible to register to vote at the age of 17 years and 10 months1

Becoming a poll worker for your local elections department is a great experiential learning opportunity that enables students to play a critical role in the democratic process. Students gain firsthand experience with the operations of setting up and running a vote center during early voting and election day.
